I Hate Mile 23

With my first race of the season today, I thought this would be appropriate.

Add to number one don’t say “you cam do it!” I know they mean well, but it makes me mad. I feel like that means I look worse than I feel.

I sometimes yell “You can DO it!” but it’s all in how you say it. More universally excellent things to yell are You got it!, Way to go!, Fan fucking tastic!, You’re Hot!, Right on!, and Oh my God look at him go!

I was once at mile 9 of a half marathon and a lady yelled “You’re almost done!” I laughed it was so ridiculous. Never yell that.

And at the end of the marathon I pretty much dislike everything everyone yells. That doesn’t mean don’t say anything. That just means, hey, I’m tired, I’m not in a good mood right now OK.
