The indoor track at school had this reversed, one of the walkers yelled at me once for running on the inside lane. In retrospect I should have told them to get real, rather than just pass them. Slower traffic to the right.
You know, now that you mention it, I never realized it was reversed on indoor tracks. I used to run indoors through the winter, and it was just as you say: runners to the outside to use the track’s rake. Walkers inside on the flat part.
